Many cities of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, and not of least, accommodated national congresses and philatelic exhibitions. Thus, Dunkirk at the time of the 53^rd congress in 1980, the 71^st congress in 1998 for which the Reuze giant is represented on the stamp emitted with this circumstance and during the exhibition Philex-Young persons 84. In the same way, Lens at the time of the 43^rd and 60^th congress respectively in 1970 and 1987. It was the turn of Lille in 1993 and the occasion to see the Northern TGV and the belfry of the city on the stamp.

The philatelic exhibitions Nordex of 1983 and Filaflandre of 1996 were also held in Lille. The two labels emitted to celebrate these events show again all of these local curiosities.
